Hibiscus Sheetmetals – Terms & Conditions

1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, sales, and services provided by Hibiscus Sheetmetals (“we,” “our,” “us”).

By engaging with our business, you agree to these terms. Any variation must be confirmed in writing by us.

2. Quotations & Pricing

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated.
Prices may change without notice due to fluctuations in material, labour, or freight costs.
GST (Goods and Services Tax) will be applied where applicable.

Additional Conditions:

  • An estimate is a guide to what a service or goods may amount to and is not binding, nor a quote.

  • A verbal price is an estimate only.

  • Site visits and consultations that require travel and assessment may be subject to a fee, depending on location and complexity. We will apply this fee to ensure that our time, expertise, and travel costs are covered.

3. Orders & Payment

Orders are only confirmed once a written purchase order or deposit has been received.
A deposit may be required before work begins.
Final payment is due on completion or delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments may incur interest and recovery costs.

Additional Conditions:

  • Cash sales require payment before your job can be processed.

  • All goods supplied to the Customer remain the property of Hibiscus Sheetmetals Limited until full payment is received.

  • We reserve the right to reclaim materials or remove completed work if payment is not received in full.

4. Lead Times & Delivery

Completion dates are estimates only. While we aim to meet agreed timeframes, we are not liable for delays caused by material shortages, suppliers, or events beyond our control.
Delivery charges may apply. Risk in goods passes to the customer upon collection or delivery.

5. Custom Fabrication

As many of our products are custom made, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once fabrication has started.
It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm all dimensions, specifications, and drawings before work commences.

6. Warranties & Liability

We warrant our workmanship for a period of 12 months from completion.
Warranty does not cover: misuse, improper installation, unauthorised modifications, normal wear and tear, or corrosion caused by environmental factors.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the goods supplied.

Additional Conditions:

  • If the Goods or Services have been modified or altered in any way by anyone other than us, unless specially agreed to in writing, the Customer must accept that this will void our warranty.

7. Site Work

If site work is required, customers must ensure safe and reasonable access for our team.
Additional charges may apply for delays caused by restricted access or unsafe working conditions.

Additional Conditions:

  • Travel time will be charged as well as a mileage charge.

8. Intellectual Property

All designs, drawings, and specifications prepared by Hibiscus Sheet Metals remain our property unless agreed otherwise in writing.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
